Acquisition Award of the City Council of Cerveira at the XIX International Biennial of Art of Cerveira, Portugal<\/span><\/p>\n

Edition 1\/3 belongs to the collection of the Bienal de Cerveira Museum, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wearing a pair of shoes with a four-foot entrance, I propose a two hours uninterrupted coexistence with Hilda de Paulo*, with whom I walk, in silence, the entire area bounded for action to take place. The design of the object forces our bodies to be placed facing each other and also this makes our steps seem to dance. During this time together, we explore the swings of our physical and mental states together until the end of time. Once the performance is over, the pair of shoes can remain on display along with the action video record and photography<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* At the time of the creation of the performance <\/span><\/em>To Be Privy<\/span>, Hilda de Paulo was still known as Paulo Aureliano da Mata. The artist began her gender transition in 2020, changing her name in the same year.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
