Tales Frey

Shared Skins (2021)

Legenda em breve.

Thinking of the body as a pivot for artistic conception implies paths of research and reflection. One possibility, present in the work of artist Tales Frey, highlights the notion of outer tissue, either the skin or the material placed on it, producing questions arising from existing codes in the encounter between the individual and the clothing, where shared skins emerge as strategic aesthetic solutions to put bodies in direct dialogue, reflecting on the coexistence between differences, between approximations and distances.

Shared Skins presents works based on the intersection of performance, video, and clothing through creations in which adornments/costumes have the function of connecting bodies, bringing them closer to sculptural forms and placing them in dance situations.
